This course seeks to provide a background and overview of the law as well as an explanation of the underlying technologies that support traditional and alternate forms of texting. The program will focus on the sources of evidence identified as admissible in the law, as well as the process to acquire and introduce evidence in a proceeding. This course will identify the technical conflicts that exist between the current law and existing related technologies. The information will be presented in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technologist.
