Auckland, New Zealand, December 03, 2013 - Showcase Software Ltd. has answered an imporant question in the construction industry: Can a third-party sales app provide more value than one developed for a particular companys needs? According to Cliff Davis, National Formwork Manager for Acrow, a construction support firm in New Zealand, the answer emerged from a direct comparison between Showcase, and an app provided by one of his suppliers.
Even though the supplier had developed and shared their own proprietary tablet sales app with their global network of reps, Davis prefers Showcase; Its easier to use, and more attractive, said Mr. Davis. That helps to make a good first impression, and holds my prospects attention past the initial hurdle in a sales presentation.
Mr. Davis, who must act quickly in sales meetings to engage prospects attention and answer their questions, also cites Showcases versatility as a major asset. We can show relevant answers immediately. We couldnt do that with paper materials, because we never knew what they would ask about. If we were on a laptop, wed interrupt the conversation while we hunted for the right file. Either way, we didnt look as professional as we would have liked. With Showcase, we do.
Though its still early days for Showcase, the industry trend looks encouraging. Tablets (mostly iPads) are rapidly replacing or supplementing laptops across all areas of business, as employees bring their devices from home to work, and IT departments allow the devices on local networks. Over 250 million tablets are expected to sell world-wide in 2015, many to enterprise customers.
