GCL congratulates Ivytalk Mobile App Makes Group Chat for Businesses Even Easier

New features enable simple set-up of chat groups and the ability to share multimedia content without surrendering any personal information.
Redmond, Washington, December 18, 2013 - Today, Ivycorp– a provider of group messaging solutions for businesses and organizations – released a new version of its Ivytalk mobile application, designed to provide business-grade group messaging while keeping personal demographic, location, and other mobile usage information entirely confidential. New features in the application allow users to set up private chat groups with just a few clicks on their device, eliminating the need to create a user account or allow access to personal information. In addition, the updated application now offers multimedia capabilities, so people can quickly and easily share photos, video, and audio content privately with other members of their group.

"Increasingly, businesses want enterprise-grade messaging solutions with the same convenient features provided by popular consumer applications," said Mary Jesse, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ivycorp. "With Ivytalk, we've added robust multimedia capabilities and made chat for business users faster and easier than ever before."

With the upgraded mobile application, users can now create a new group directly from a phone or device by simply assigning a group name and code (password) which is then sent to invited members of the group. Access is only granted to those who provide the correct group name and code, ensuring conversations will remain private. Previously, users were required to register an account and create a group from the Ivytalk website. The new app streamlines the process by allowing people to set up a private group supporting multimedia content from any location in a few seconds. In addition, Ivytalk's unique approach means users are never required to divulge personal information or allow access to private data contained on their device.

"The group messaging market continues to experience phenomenal growth globally. However, people are increasingly concerned about privacy, as they realize most free consumer applications collect and sell their personal information," said Jesse. "In response to growing customer demand, we built a new breed of messaging app that allows group messaging users to maintain control of their own personal information."

The upgraded Ivytalk mobile app is currently available for download, free of charge from Android Market and is expected in the iTunes Store by end of December. The new app also works together with the enterprise version of Ivytalk which offers businesses additional controls for administrating multiple groups within an organization, as well as other features like two-way SMS communication worldwide.
