GCL announces that CRN International Named Finalist for Coveted Hispanic Radio Award

Nominated for Marketer of the Year for Work on MLB's World Baseball Classic
New Haven, CT, February 13, 2014 - Radio Ink magazine has named radio marketing company CRN International as a Finalist for its Medallas de Cortez award for excellence in Hispanic radio.

CRN, which uses radio as a powerful marketing medium to give hundreds of consumer brands a remarkable competitive advantage, is being recognized in the Marketer of the Year category for its work on the 2013 World Baseball Classic, orchestrated by Executive Vice President Dick Kalt.

Radio Ink will announce the winners March 10-11 at the Hispanic Radio Conference in San Diego at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay.

The Medallas de Cortez awards have become a symbol of excellence in the Hispanic radio community. The awards are named in honor of Raoul Cortez, who founded KCOR -- the first Spanish-language station in the United States -- in 1946.

CRN was instrumental in helping to drive attendance and viewership to the most recent World Baseball Classic, orchestrating a radio marketing plan to Spanish-speaking fans that tied in on-air endorsements, appearances, sweepstakes, commercial spots and promotional messaging in key markets, changing on the fly depending on markets and team participants.
