Ultriva Goes Live at Exterran with Oracle E-Business Suite Integration

Ultriva Goes Live At Exterran with Oracle E-Business Suite Integration
PressReleaseLeader-August 22, 2013-

Cupertino, CA -- Exterran is a global leader in full-service natural gas compression and a premier provider of services and equipment for oil & gas production, processing, treating, transportation and storage. They cover every major oil & gas region of the world and serve the full spectrum of energy clients, from the super majors and National Oil Companies (NOCs) to the independent E&P and distribution companies.

Frank Kapper, Director of Sales for Ultriva, shared, “The total elapsed time from project start to go-live on Ultriva’s ‘Collaborative Supply Portal’ (CSP) with tight integration to Exterran’s Oracle E-Business Suite took only 13 weeks.” Exterran follows Emerson, Life Fitness and Regal Beloit in a series of successful deployments of Ultriva’s supply chain solutions with Oracle EBS.

Exterran selected Ultriva’s ‘Collaborative Supply Portal’ because they were seeking a cloud-based supply chain portal application that could seamlessly integrate with their Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ERP system, could be rapidly deployed to their supply chain partners, and would deliver measureable improvements in employee productivity and inventory performance. The supply chain portal had to display MRP forecast data and MRP exceptions from Oracle EBS, support the release of all types of orders to supply chain partners, track the status of each and every order throughout the material replenishment cycle, and support the Lean practice of Kanban.

Exterran was also looking for a solution that utilized dashboards to provide real-time and actionable business intelligence to planners, buyers and suppliers on all matters relating to material replenishment. Kapper noted, “Exterran has realized explosive growth over past several years and had outgrown the manual and semi-automated ERP-based supply chain processes used to support day-to-day operations. Their reliance on email, phone and fax as the primary methods of communicating, tracking, and closing material orders presented them with a number of challenges. With Ultriva’s CSP solution tightly integrated with Oracle EBS, planners, buyers and suppliers now enjoy streamlined processes, improved collaboration and repeatable execution.”

Exterran went through a formal system selection process that included several large ISV portal providers before selecting Ultriva as their vendor of choice. Ultriva’s selection resulted through a combination of simple and intuitive user interface, ease of integration with Oracle EBS for master and transactional data sets and ability to rapidly on-board suppliers. Their ultimate goal is to extend Ultriva’s Collaborative Supply Portal to all of their manufacturing plants and suppliers while reducing inventory at the plants.
